Arts In Education
  • Arts in Education - This program pays artistic fees for area artists to collaborate with educators and students in their classrooms.

    Mary Jo Huff is a professional storyteller and author of "Storytelling with Puppets, Props and Playful Tales". Her presentations are interactive and include various storytelling props. Through the use of her entertaining props and art of storytelling, Mary Jo encourages children about the joy of reading and retelling stories in a creative and expressive way.
  • Cultural Calendar: a monthly listing of area arts activities.
  • Arts Awareness: The Arts Council actively promotes arts activities in the community. We represent the arts on numerous panels, boards and committees. The Arts Council serves as a regional representative to the Indiana Arts Commission and provides a link for the area arts community to the National Endowment for the Arts.
  • Technical Assistance: The Arts Council offers assistance on writing for the media, fund raising, grant-writing, and working with volunteers. For more information, contact Mary Jane Schenk, Executive Director, at 422-2111.
