"That's Amore! Italian Night at the Pops" showcases popular Italian love music from opera to modern-day cinema. The program includes some of the greatest Italian love songs including "Volare", "Arrivederci, Roma", and of course, Dean Martin's classic "That's Amore!"
The first half of the program begins with short pieces of love music from some of the most popular Italian operas including Rigoletto, Madama Butterfly, and La Bohème. The orchestra will then perform popular Neapolitan songs like "O Sole Mio" and the light-hearted "Finiculi, Finicula".

Following intermission, concert-goers will enjoy popular love themes from Academy Award winning films such as The Godfather and Romeo & Juliet (A Time for Us). It promises to be a performance full of award-winning Italian music. "Be My Love", included on the second half of the program, was featured in the musical The Toast of New Orleans (1950) and nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. "Three Coins in the Fountain", also on the program, won the Oscar for Best Original Song in 1955.

"That's Amore! Italian Night at the Pops" is sponsored by Crescent-Cresline-Wabash Plastics, Inc. The "…And the Heat Goes On" 2007-2008 season is sponsored by 14 WFIE.
